3/19/2020… The decision on whether or not to cancel our Annual Convention has not yet been made, although with the recent closing of casinos in Atlantic City because of the Corona Virus, it seems likely that will happen. Please know that the Executive Committee is exploring other methods of handling the business of our Federation, in the event Convention must be cancelled.

3/16/2020… A note about Convention registration: Although the deadline for Convention registration has been extended, if you are considering attending Convention, please send your payment and delegate registration form as soon as possible. If NJSFWC is forced to cancel Convention, your payment will be returned. It is important your delegates be registered in the event an alternate form of voting becomes necessary.

Registration deadline is now POSTMARKED by April 17 and NO LATE FEES will be charged. 


Convention is scheduled for May 4-6, 2020, at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City. The CALL was mailed in February, and all club presidents should have received it. If you didn’t, please call or email Headquarters.

The Convention will open Monday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. and will adjourn at the close of the business session Wednesday.

Registration

All attendees, including Delegates, Alternates, Members, Guests and Visitors must register as soon after arrival as possible. Credentials must be worn at all meetings, programs, workshops and in the exhibit area.

Important Information

Delegate Registration must be sent in accordance with Article XI of the Bylaws. A Registration Sheet is enclosed. The names of the Delegates and Alternates must be received by the Chairman of Credentials and Registration, Rosemarie Saviello, 325 Jacksonville Road, Lincoln Park, NJ 07035 postmarked no later than March 30, 2020.

Each Delegate and Alternate will receive HER OWN Credential Card at the Credentials and Registration Desk.

Registration Fee of Delegates, Alternates, Members or Guests/Visitors is $30.00 if postmarked by March 30, 2020.  If postmarked between March 31 and April 7, 2020 the Registration Fee is $40.00.  No registration fee will be accepted by mail postmarked after

April 7, 2020.    On-site registration for members or guests/visitors will be $40.00.  No on-site registration for Delegates and Alternates will be available.

The Daily Registration Fee is $15.00 if postmarked by March 30, 2020. If postmarked between March 31 and April 7, 2020, the Daily Registration Fee is $20.00. No registration fee will be accepted by mail postmarked after April 7, 2020. On-site Daily Registration for members or guests/visitors will be $20.00.

If an alternate is to become a delegate, this change can only be made by the Credentials and Registration Chairman at the Registration Desk, and must be made no later than 10:00 a.m.  Tuesday.

Only delegates are permitted to vote at the Business Sessions.  Delegates and Alternates must be listed on the Voting Registration Sheet returned by the clubs.

Clubs are requested to study the Proposed Amendments to the Bylaws (included in the CALL) and the Resolutions (mailed separately to Club Presidents) to ensure that their Delegates are informed of the issues.

NOTE:  These are the only copies of the proposed revisions to the Bylaws and Resolutions you will receive.  Please bring them to Convention.

Tickets are to be picked up at the Credentials and Registration Desk. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Special meal requests must be made in advance on the Registration Form.  No special meal requests will be considered on-site.
