OPERATION HOLIDAY STOCKING

For more than a decade our clubs have prepared and sent holiday stockings for troops serving our nation overseas.

Our stockings are shared with two organizations that ship them overseas to military men and women serving there.

  • "Operation Yellow Ribbo," consists of all volunteers, and they show support for our United States Military Forces serving in the Middle East, including Iraq and Afghanistan. One of Operation Yellow Ribbon's major focuses is organizing and collecting donated U.S. Troop supplies and goodies to send to our brave Heroes deployed in harm's way in the Middle East.
  • "Operation Jersey Cares" is comprised of Veterans and Proud Americans. It aims to honor those men and women who provide us the blanket of freedom we all sleep so soundly under. OJC will continue to support those who are currently deployed, proud veterans, as well as our loyal military families. One of their projects is to organize and send care packages to troops serving overseas.

Our clubs always do an outstanding job by filling holiday stockings with items and love!

You can begin this project at any time, and stockings are delivered to Headquarters in the fall. Stockings should be labeled "male," "female," or "gender neutral." The cost to fill the stocking should be about $20-$25 to completely fill it to the top.

Items to fill the stockings are listed in the flyer, found on the MATERIALS page under Civic Engagement and Outreach. We also request a donation of $2 per stocking to help with shipping and delivery.

If you or your club prefers to give a monetary donation instead of making the Christmas Stockings, any amount is deeply appreciated. Please make your check payable to NJSFWC, earmark it “Operation Holiday Stocking,” and send it to Headquarters.
