The recent tragedy at the Robb Elementary School in Texas, reminds us to hug our children, grandchildren and family a little bit tighter. Please keep the families of the 19 students who lost their lives and the 2 teachers who died trying to shield their students from harm, in your thoughts and prayers.

There is some confusion over the responsibilities and titles of the President-elect, First, Second, and Third Vice President.
There was a new Bylaw that passed at Convention, April 2022. This Bylaw changed the titles for the First Vice President/President-elect to President-elect. the Second Vice President to First Vice President, and the Third Vice President to Second Vice President. There is no longer a Third Vice President title on the Board of Directors.
The Bylaw reads:
The Officers of the NJSFWC shall be a President, a President-elect, a First Vice President, a Second Vice President, a Recording Secretary, a Corresponding Secretary, a Treasurer, a Financial Secretary and eight District Vice Presidents.
Rationale: To allow for the President-elect to better prepare for the next administration.
Job responsibilities have not changed, only titles.
The President-elect is the Leadership Chairman and Dean to the District Vice Presidents.
The First Vice President is responsible for Report Writing and Dean to the CSP’s (Community Service Program Chairman) and those Chairman who report to GFWC.
The Second Vice President is the Membership Chairman and Dean to those Chairman who do not report to GFWC.
