Kentucky Flood Diaster
If you’ve watched the news lately, you’ve seen the devastation in Kentucky caused by torrential rains and flooding. If you’d like to help, the Kentucky Federation has asked for gift cards to Walmart, Visa, MasterCard, Dollar General, and Family Dollar. Gift cards and checks can be sent payable to NJSFWC Headquarters- 55 Labor Center Way, New Brunswick, 08901-1593. Please send checks and gift cards by September 15, when we will send one check along with the gift cards to the Kentucky State Federation. Thank you for your generosity!
A note from Headquarters – When mail is received, or committees meet, the Office often receives a check or cash….sometimes without explanation!
As reminder to our members, when sending checks or dropping off cash to Headquarters a detailed explanation would be helpful.
For example, sending a check for the 1894 Society a trip, luncheon, or orders for pins, etc., should be accompanied by a completely filled out form easily downloaded off the website. Complete the form with full name, club, district, phone number and address with zip, the event or donation, etc.
No form? If someone doesn’t have access to the website, a detailed note would be necessary. Full name, club, district, phone number and address with zip, the event or donation, etc. All the info that is requested on the form.
Every piece of mail, especially with money, has to be documented, copied and distributed to the appropriate person, put in a spreadsheet, and/or have the order filled and returned, then entered in Quick Books before being deposited.

Joyce was the lucky winner of the 4 day vacation stay at the Concord Suites in Avalon in September. Joyce was soo excited when I called her with the news!
September really is the best time at the Jersey Shore. We hope that Joyce has a wonderful time! Thank you to all of the club women who supported this fundraiser!
