Pinwheel Gardens
Even though the ground is frozen and the weather frosty, it is not to early to plan your April pinwheel garden. Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey and Child Wellness Institute have pinwheels available for sale. They are 12 for $12 pre-packaged in a clear plastic bag.

Calling all members of the Order of the Lily!!!
The Order of the Lily was organized by Mary Ellen Brock when she was NJSFWC State President in 2000-2002. The award was for further recognition of members after receiving the Honor Roll, for their continued service to their clubs and communities.
The Lilies is an affiliate club which Federated in 2002 and is opened to those who have been named to the Order of the Lily, served as District Vice President or former Dean to the District Vice Presidents. Members must also belong to an NJSFWC per capita dues-paying club or be an NJSFWC member-at-large. There are annual dues that are due by May 1, or with the application when a member applies.
We meet twice yearly, in the spring and the fall each year at the NJSFWC Headquarters. There is usually a Done in One project at each meeting that is then donated to a local/state cause.
The next meeting is April 11, 2022. We will be working on two projects, and the member can choose to make a No Sew fleece blanket or an Easter basket, which will be donated to local charities.
If you have been named to the Order of the Lily and have stopped coming to meetings or have not joined and would like to…
YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN US FOR THE APRIL 11, 2022 MEETING AS WE BEGIN OUR 20TH YEAR OF SERVICE!!!
Please contact Joann Aponte, President at Shopperlady22@aol.com or 973-477-0055 for further information.
We look forward to hearing from you!!

Covenant House
Here is a message from Covenant House.
Happy New Year to you all! For the second year, we are bringing New Jersey communities together in solidarity to raise support and awareness for the youth facing homelessness that CHNJ serves each day. Sleep Out: Covenant House New Jersey Community Edition will take place on Friday, March 25th. The communities of Asbury Park, Camden, Newark, and Young Professionals will show our youth they are not alone! Last year the Community Sleep Out raised over $290,000! Funds were put to work immediately to shelter, feed, and lovingly care for each youth that calls one of our Covenant House New Jersey sites home. THANK YOU for being part of their life change! A few details to note below:
• Funding is earmarked for each region or group (Asbury Park, Camden, Newark Young Professional, or however you identify your community)
• There is a collective event goal of $335,000
• We are aiming to offer BOTH virtual and in-person experiences! Stay tuned for details!
• You will have the ability to connect with and see folks from your community and interact with staff and young people in a small group setting.
• We welcome families with children ages 12 and up to join us. What an excellent way for your children to learn the importance of empathy and give back AND earn community service hours if needed!
More details will follow from your Sleep Out contact (Kirsten for Young Professionals, Jen for Camden, Sue for Asbury Park, Mary for Newark, or whichever staff member asked you to join us), but please SAVE THE DATE and plan to join us!
Can we count you IN once again? Please Register
With deep appreciation,
Janette Dubenezic, Director of Development
