GCI
Rutgers has confirmed the dates for the 2024 Girls’ Career Institute – June 2 – 5. Please note – this is a change of days. GCI will begin on Sunday afternoon instead of Monday. The Delegates will only miss 3 days of school instead of 4. We are hoping this helps some of the Delegates with exams. The deadline for sending money to sponsor a GCI Delegate is January 31, 2024. No additional Delegates may be added after the deadline.
Festival of Trees
The Holiday Open House “Festival of Trees” will take place at Headquarters on November 30th. All donations must be received at Headquarters by November 28. There’s still time to register to attend. Email Laurel Dobalo, Headquarters Chairman at dobalo@njsfwc.org to attend.
Don’t miss the opportunity to see the trees that have been donated by clubs and clubwomen in the themes of the Community Service Programs. The trees will be silent auctioned and wreaths may be purchased. Light refreshments will be served. It will be a wonderful day to get into the holiday spirit.
Washington, D.C. Trip
There are still a few seats on the bus to GFWC Headquarters to see our GFWC Federation home all decorated for the holidays. GFWC Headquarters is on the National Historic Landmark Registry. This Victorian style home is simply beautiful and a must see if you’ve never been there. December 6th and there will be three pick up locations. Contact Annette Bortone at 201-873-1913 to register.
Happy Thanksgiving
As you gather tomorrow with family and friends, this president is thankful for each and every clubwoman and the work you do in your communities. NJSFWC wouldn’t be the great organization it is without all of you. Thank you, thank you!
