eConnection 9/7: Registration Deadlines for MAR and Fall Conference

REGISTRATION DEADLINES:

September 15 – Middle Atlantic Region Conference (MAR) reservation deadline. Come meet federation sisters from other states, share ideas and hear from the GFWC International President, Deb Strahanoski and President Elect, Suellen Brazil. Attend great workshops and bring information back to your club! The call can be found at NJSFWC.org under Materials. MAR Conference is OCTOBER 6 TO SUNDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2022.

September 16 – Great News – Fall Conference Chairman, Vivien Finn, had 10 more rooms added to our hotel block and got the hotel reservation deadline extended to September 16^th. Contact The Hampton Inn directly at 609-426-1600 and mention NJSFWC Fall Conference for the conference rate. Come and join us the night before Fall Conference as we “Paint and Sip” from 4:30-6:00 p.m. and then go to dinner at Tavern on the Lake in Hightstown, five minutes from the hotel. Don’t forget the scavenger hunt being held at Fall Conference. Bring your 2022-23 NJSFWC yearbook and join the fun to win prizes!

The reservation form for both Fall Conference and to purchase an NJSFWC Yearbook were in the September ALMANAC. No sharing of yearbooks, everyone must have their own. Fall Conference is MONDAY, OCTOBER 24.

September 26 – Join your federation sisters as we take an overnight trip to Turning Point Suffragist Memorial, October 16-17^th,. On Sunday, there will be 3 pick up locations in NJ before we travel to Virginia. We will visit Turning Point and Mount Vernon (George Washington’s home) on Monday. $240 includes admission to both, dinner on Sunday evening, hotel accommodations, hot breakfast Monday, boxed lunch, tip for the driver and snacks for the ride down and back. October 1 – There’s still time for your club to submit an application for a membership grant. NJSFWC is giving 6 – $100 membership grants (3 in each membership category) for club member recruitment and retention activities. Applications can be found at NJSFWC.org and in the September ALMANAC. Deadline is October 1^st! Don’t miss out on free money to help your club!
