Lobster Shanty
Thank you to everyone who attended the Special State Project luncheon earlier this month at the Lobster Shanty in Point Pleasant!  The Lobster Shanty has become a highly anticipated summer destination every August.  Some clubwomen make a day of it and go to the boardwalk after the luncheon!This President loves hearing about the different traditions each club has.  It’s the bonding of club women who become lifelong friends that keep us all connected!Thank you to every clubwoman and every club that donated gift baskets!  All of the 110 baskets were beautiful and attendees were overwhelmed with the choice of baskets to put their tickets in!  There were also 10 Silent Auction gifts available to bid on. Joann Passantino and Rose Contreras, both from Emmanuel Cancer Foundation were in attendance and were so grateful for the out pouring of support for ECF.

Backpacks
Another big thank you to all of the clubs who donated backpacks filled with school supplies for ECF children and their siblings! We surpassed our goal of 550 backpacks. You will hear totals from our Special State Project Chairman, Marie Sullivan at another time.

If you follow Emmanuel Cancer Foundation in Facebook, you have seen pictures of the many deliveries that have been made by Marie and this President.  There will be many smiling children when schools open next week!

September 1st – Check out the NJSFWC.org website for a new addition – Benefits of Belonging to NJSFWC.

Benefits Development Chairman is a new position this President created.  The goal is to inform members of GFWC benefits and the new benefits offered to NJSFWC members. The priority of businesses are venues to hold events and printing companies for cards, logos for shirts and tote bags.  Although you will see there are other businesses listed also.  We are working with companies that will offer our members discounts.  Contact Randi Quilici, Benefits Development Chairman for more information or if you know of a business willing to give a discount to our members!  Many thanks to Randi, who has contacted each company listed.  quilici@njsfwc.org
