Summer Conference Hotel Reservations Deadline

In order to get the special hotel rate at the Tropicana, you need to make your reservation by July 2nd.

    1. All room reservations are to be made directly with Tropicana, Atlantic City before July 2, 2021 by calling 1-800-345-8767 and mention NJSFWC and Group Code HNJSFWC.
      • Single or Double occupancy is $111.54 per night. These rates include the Atlantic City room tax, the Tourism Promotion occupancy resort fee and a voucher for self-parking.
      • Hotel and meeting rooms will be in the Havana Tower.
      • Check-In is at 4 p.m. and check out is at 11 a.m.
    2. Be prepared to provide each roommate’s name, arrival date, departure date, smoking or non-smoking preference for the room, and a major credit card number to hold the reservation.
    3. For a full refund cancellation must be made 72 hours prior to the attendee’s schedule arrival.
    4. If the prevailing room rate at the time of check is lower than the stated rate, attendees will receive the lower rate.

    Club House Workshop

    On Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 1 p. m, there will be a Club House Workshop at Federation Headquarters. Come out and meet with other club members to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of “home” ownership. Discuss ways your club has found to manage during the pandemic. Share information about how clubs utilize their club houses, pay the bills and manage the upkeep.

    Middle Atlantic Region Conference

    This year’s Conference will be held at The Sheraton Suites, Wilmington, DE on September 30 through October 3.

    On September 30th there will be a dinner giving attendees time to socialize. On Friday there is a tour or Winterthur.

    The Conference begins at the Friday Banquet and continues through Breakfast on Sunday. You will hear from GFWC President Marian St. Clair and President-elect Deb Strahanski, along with other GFWC Board members.

    Highlighted Projects

    Each week in the eConnection we will highlight projects selected for the GFWC reports. These Health and Wellness projects can, also, be found on the NJSFWC website.

    1. West Deptford Woman’s Club cut plastic bags into strips and crocheted mats and tote bags for homeless. Ove 325 hours were required to make 3 mats and 2 tote bags.

    2. The Boys Charity Group helped work the Haven House to renovate a home for a mother and her children for a safe environment. The boys helped set up bingo for a fundraiser for Haven House. They also created a video on card making for senior citizens.

    3. Long Valley Juniorettes made inspiration pediatric cancer bracelets for Sarah’s Fight for Hope 167 bracelets were make and packaged for cancer patients.
