Book Discussion

On Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 7:00 p.m., NJSFWC ESO Chairman Pat Trainor will host an online book discussion via Zoom.

The fourth book in our discussion series will be The Woman’s Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote by Elaine Weiss. Discussions about new books will take place every other month. Contact miller@njsfwc.org to register.

Treasurer’s Workshop

May 19, 2021-10:30 a.m.-Treasurer’s Workshop- The workshop will include:

  • The responsibilities of the Treasurer
  • Dates they should be aware of
  • Explanations of- Charity Registration, Continuing Funds, Blue Sheets
  • Filing Raffle Licenses and follow-up documentation, 501(c)(3) and Filing 990s

This will be a Zoom and in-person meeting. Presidents and Treasurers are encouraged to attend, but all are welcome. Register at njsfwc.hq@gmail.com.

Gertrude Hawk Spring Fundraiser

Thank you to all the members who participated in our Spring Gertrude Hawk Fundraiser. The profit from this Fundraiser was $1,062.40. Both the Fall and Spring Gertrude Hawk Fundraisers support the Headquarters Fund. The reviews are in. Since this Fundraiser was so successful, it has been renewed for next year. Look for information in the November Almanac, eConnection, and Facebook.

Medicare Workshop

Thank you to Shore District Vice President, Randi Quilici for suggesting the Workshop on Medicare. Many questions were answered. Thank you to Jeff Palmer, Healthshare 360, for shining some light on this confusing topic
