127th Annual Convention Recap

Thank you to everyone who attended the Virtual NJSFWC 127th Annual Convention. The three workshops were well attended and very informative. Vivian Finn, Bylaws Chairman, presented the Bylaws, which passed and Chris Sienkielewski, Legislation/Resolutions Chairman, presented the Resolutions which also passed. We heard GFWC Second Vice President, Wendy Carriker, speak on what GFWC means to us. The Past State Presidents joined with us and gave us a beautiful tribute to NJSFWC Board members who have passed. Immediate Past State President, Mary Wolfe, talked about her administration. Awards were announced. Thank you to the Barnegat High School Junior Naval ROTC Color Guard and the Millville Woman’s Club chorus for the opening exercises and Rose Havron for Singing “Let There Be Peace on Earth.” Here are a few items from the President’s report:

To hold virtual meetings a Zoom account was purchased and instructions given on its use. Zoom meetings were used for thirty-two District Councils, nine Executive Committee meetings, ten Board meets, six Civic Engagement meetings, ten workshops and fifteen committee meetings.

It is my privilege to announce that New Jersey clubwomen reported a total of 16,963 projects, 320,119 hours, $1,299,636 and in-kind $960.862. These numbers are based on approximately 2/3 of clubs reporting.

The full President’s report and award winners will appear on the NJSFWC website shortly. It is a privilege to serve as your President.

It has been different, but thanks to everyone’s support it has not been difficult.
