Dear GFWC Club Member,

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month – also known as adolescent relationship abuse – and dating violence is far too prevalent among our youth. About 1 in 12 U.S. high school students experienced physical or sexual violence in a 12-month period, according to the CDC. LGBTQ+ youth are particularly at risk.

Co-sponsored by Representative Fitzpatrick (R-PA 1) and Representative Moore (D-WI 4).

Join us on February 28th, at 3pm ET for a special virtual briefing that will highlight the prevalence and consequences of teen dating violence, and more importantly, policy solutions that will prevent it from happening in the first place.
During this briefing, experts will shed light on important topics like:

  • The prevalence and consequences of teen dating violence including economic abuse;
  • The need for culturally specific programs and resources;
  • The importance of engaging with young boys and men to prevent violence, and

Policy solutions to prevent teen dating violence.
