The power of words is tremendous. Words are so strong that you don’t need to use very many to induce profound happiness or deep sadness in someone. Words are the most common method of communication that humans use.

Can you remember a time when they caused you terrible pain or when they made your day?

We’ve used some of the most beautiful words in the world to talk about things we like, such as beauty, friendship, solidarity, or the many charming things that surround us. The responsibility of exercising and enjoying the power of words lies with us. It’s up to us whether we use them to create, construct, share and embrace, instead of using them to attack or destroy.

Congratulations

Congratulations to the GFWC Woman’s Club of the Denville-Rockaway area, Highlands District for being chosen by popular vote, the GFWC President’s Pick for 2021, from many 2021 projects submitted nationwide.

Twelve club members, spent 250 hours over a 3-month period preparing 200 Tricky Tray baskets for the annual Joey Bella Memorial Fund Tricky Tray fundraiser.

The goal of the fund is to provide financial assistance and emotional support to families in Denville and surrounding towns, who find themselves trying to cope with caring for a seriously ill child.

The American Heart Association’s signature women’s initiative, Go Red for Women, is a comprehensive platform designed to increase women’s heart health awareness and serve as a catalyst for change to improve the lives of women globally.
