eConnection – 11/23/22 Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect back on the things for which we are thankful, and despite challenges we’ve each faced this year, we are still grateful for so much, especially within this Federation.

I am grateful for dedicated volunteers who serve on the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, the District Vice Presidents, the Community Service Program Chairmen, the Standing and Special Committee Chairmen, the Appointed Chairmen and the Assistants to the President, These women who give freely of their time and talents and voluntarily drive to Headquarters every month, prepared to do whatever it is to support the clubs who can better serve their communities.

I am grateful for the office staff; Patti Notarianni, Joanne Mangels, and Cindy Blumenkrantz for their dedication and willingness to run our Headquarters building and silently ensure all of the day-to-day tasks are completed keeping information flowing to our members.

I’m thankful for the Past State Presidents who mentor and are there as a resource for guidance.

I’m grateful for the ALMANAC Committee who come to Headquarters every month making sure that Club Presidents and subscribers receive their ALMANAC in a timely manner.

I’m grateful to every member who volunteers their time at Girls’ Career Institute – one of NJSFWC’s most significant projects.  I’m thankful these volunteers are willing to give up 4 days away from their family to supervise and mentor the delegates attending.

I’m grateful for each District Chairman who supports their State Chairman in facilitating information to Club Presidents and members at council meetings.

I’m grateful for the Club Presidents who were willing to step up and accept the leadership role in their club.

I’m thankful for every single NJSFWC Club Member who supports their club projects and the communities in which we live.  For without all of you, we would have no Federation.   The communities we live in are better because of women’s clubs all across New Jersey.  Thank you!

Each of us has something for which we are thankful.  I hope you’ll take the time to reflect on the things you are grateful for and that each of those things bring joy to your heart and a smile to your face.

Happy Thanksgiving!
In Federation friendship,
Shirley
