Boxes and padded envelopes available for gift wrapping while they last

The watchful eyes of a Garden District NJSFWC Club recently spotted an excellent supply of new colorful boxes and padded envelopes on their way to a dumpster. The materials were rescued temporarily, stored and then repurposed to be available to clubs who can use them to hold gifts destined to the less fortunate.

First choice was directed to our Special State Project, Emmanuel Cancer Foundation. This doesn’t seem workable as most gifts come to ECF already wrapped/bagged and designated to fill specific wishes. Some community service organizations collect gifts for birthdays and holidays, but the parents come to the site and chose one or two items for their own children and then wrap them on site.

Now we are reaching out to individual clubs. If your club needs beautiful boxes or padded envelopes in various colors and mostly geometric designs, please request your District Vice President to obtain same at the September 12, 2023 NJSFWC Board meeting at Headquarters for you to pick up at your September District Council meeting.

You can email mcdonald@njsfwc.org to have some set aside for your club or an organization the club works with. This is a first come/first serve operation so make your request a priority.

  • Box sizes are: 8 x 8 x 8, 12 x 3 x 18, 9 x 5½ x 12¼
  • Padded envelopes are: 10 ¾ x 14½ and 6 ¾ x 8 ¾
