NJSFWC Needs your help!

We are in need of a State Spelling Bee Chairman. The State Spelling Bee is scheduled for Saturday, April 20th at NJSFWC Headquarters. We have volunteers who have offered to help that day, but we are in need of someone to oversee the day. For further details, please contact Shirley Holly – holly@njsfwc.org or Susan Chambers at chambers@njsfwc.org.

NJSFWC’s Day of Service

Day of Service is again scheduled on the National Day of Service January 15th. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is the only Federal holiday designated as a National Day of Service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities. During the last quarter-century, the MLK Day of Service has grown, and its impact increased as more Americans embraced the idea that citizenship involves taking an active role in improving communities.

This year we will be collecting items needed for Domestic Violence Shelters across NJ. Each District will be working for the needs of their local shelter, and each shelter has asked for different items. For further details contact Day of Service State Chairman MaryLou Bak at bak@njsfwc.org. District Chairman and locations will be listed in next week’s eConnection.
