On Monday, May 30, 2022, Americans across the country will celebrate the brave servicemen and servicewomen who died defending our country. This weekend is the unofficial start of summer, often a weekend filled with friends and family get-togethers, parades, and backyard cookouts. Before you say Happy Memorial Day to someone – please remember the true meaning of Memorial Day is a much more solemn occasion. It’s a day of remembrance to honor the sacrifice made by the men and women who have died during their service in the United States military.

NEW – YOU asked, WE answered -Oftentimes clubwomen ask questions and if one clubwoman is asking, we are pretty sure there are others with the same question.  Send your questions to: [email protected]

This week’s question is “Why should I buy a Federation Yearbook?”
You should get familiar with the entire book, but you will find the following the most useful:

Contact information for:

  • Board members
  • Past State Presidents (Past Junior Membership Directors, Past EMD Chairman)
  • GFWC Executive Committee members and NJ Representatives on the GFWC Board

Calendar of State Federation Dates and assigned District Days.

Directory of Clubs by District, including Affiliate Clubs, with member counts, contact information, meeting place, and day/time.  Same for State Organizations

AND:   Explanation of contributions
Federation Bylaws & Standing Rules

We Rolled Out the Red Carpet!

Thank you to the clubwomen who came to Headquarters on Saturday, May 21st, for “Meet the Presidents”.  Those in attendance heard a brief history of Headquarters and they heard from the President, President-elect and both Vice Presidents.  A wonderful exchange of ideas took place after the “Presidents” spoke.

Just for the Southern District, “Meet the Presidents” will be held in Cape May Courthouse on June 4th.  RVSP to chambers@njsfwc,org for exact details.  All of the Presidents will be available for the same presentation in the Southern District.  We look forward to seeing you there!
