6 Days to Help Stop the Northeast Supply Enhancement (NESE) Project

NJSFWC HAS TWO RESOLUTIONS AGAINST THIS PROJECT. This project was defeated twice but now it is being fast tracked.

Please send your comments to DEP to stop this project!

Project Proposes:
  • Construction of a gas-powered compressor station (the most polluting type) in Franklin Township near an active quarry and close to 2,000 homes.
  • 3.5 Miles of connecting pipeline through Old Bridge.
  • 23 miles of new pipeline under the Raritan Bay/New York Harbor.
  • The higher pressure and speed of the gas from the compressor stations increases the risk of leaks, fires & explosions.
  • A pipeline under the Raritan bay/New York ban will dredge up toxins buried for decades and cause pollution. Inland and coastal risks include increased flooding and destruction of critical wetlands.
THESE ARE JUST SOME OF THE DANGERS. SEND A COMMENT TO NJDEP USING THE QR CODE BY SEPTEMBER 24.
