Mary Wolfe, President

Mary Wolfe serves as the 56th president of the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs.  She has previously served on the NJSFWC Board as First Vice President/President Elect, Dean to the 9 District Vice Presidents as well as State Leadership Chairman; Second Vice President, Third Vice President and State Membership Chairman, Southern District Vice President, Credentials & Registration Chairman, Honors Chairman and Chairman of Nominations & Elections.  In addition, she served on the Junior Membership Board for eight years. 

Mary has been a member of the Woman’s Club of Vineland for over 20 years. She is also a member of the State EX Club, Junior EX Club, Phoenix Club and the Ex-Presidents Club of the Southern District.  She is a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians.

Mary and her husband Walt have been married for 40 years and are the parents of three and grandparents of five.   



Jan Hanson, First Vice President

Jan Hanson serves as NJSFWC First Vice President. She has previously served as on the NJSFWC Board as Second Vice President, Third Vice President, Education CSP, Special State Project, International Affairs, Public Issues, and Headquarters Foundation Fund Chairman.  She also served as aa District Vice President. 

She is currently President and Past President of the Woman's Club of Merchantville and has served as President of the Ex-Presidents’ of the Garden District and Junior Ex Club. Jan is a charter member of the Central Valley Contemporary Club.

Jan also served on the NJSFWC Junior Membership Board for 8 years and is past president of the Merchantville Juniors. She has been a member of the federation for 33 years.

She has been married for 40 years and has three adult children and one son-in-law.



Shirley Holly, Second Vice President

Shirley has been a clubwoman for 29 years.  She’s been President of the Dover Township JWC, Barnegat WC, Junior Ex Club , GFWC Past Directors Club, GFWC Marta’s Cruising Juniors and served as Advisor to the Jersey Juniorettes for five years.  

A member of the NJSFWC Board of Directors since 2002, Shirley began as JM Representative to the Board, followed by Director of Junior Clubs, Historian, Day of Service & Public Issues Chairman, Third Vice President, and is currently serving as Second Vice President.

Shirley served as the Laurel Service Unit Manager and was a 13 year Girl Scout leader. She volunteers for Emmanuel Cancer Foundation and is a four time puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence. Shirley works as a Media Specialist for Brackman Middle School. She has been married to Bob for 33 years, and has four children.



Barbara McCloskey, Third Vice President

Barbara has been a member of the State Federation since 1987, joining the Denville/Rockaway Junior Woman’s club, where she served as President. Barbara also served on the NJSFWC Junior State Board as Conservation Chairman and Membership Liaison.

Barbara is a member of the Woman’s Club of the Denville-Rockaway area, where she served as President. On the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs Board of Trustees, she has served as Communications Chairman, Webmaster and the Highlands District Vice President. Presently Barbara is the NJSFWC 3rd Vice President and State Membership Chairman.

She works for the Land Conservancy of New Jersey doing outreach programs and taking corporate volunteers on one-day stewardship projects. She has been married for 36 years and has two children.
