Prevent Child Abuse New Jersey
as the Special State Project for 2016-2018


Prevent Child Abuse - New Jersey is the New Jersey Chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America, a network of chapters in all 50 states. Our mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect, in all forms, for all New Jersey children. Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey is the only statewide non-profit dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect in all forms, for all New Jersey children.

Time:  11:00 am to 1:00 pm
Place:  Bev and Wally’s Family Fun Center, Keansburg

In order to get a cross-the-board response, each District is requested to donate a particular item:

  • College:  single serving size packages of pretzels 
  • EMD:  granola bars 
  • Garden:  packaged Rice Krispies treats (NOT homemade) 
  • Highlands:  tootsie pops
  • Liberty:  wrapped bite size (mini) candies such as M&Ms, Kit Kat,  3 Musketeers, Twizzlers, Twix, Starburst or Skittles (NO PEANUTS) 
  • Palisades:  Halloween pencils/pens 
  • Ramapo:  Halloween stickers 
  • Shore:  Play-Doh party packs (small) 
  • Southern:  Glow sticks/necklaces

OCTOBER 29 Great Childhoods Costume Walk for SSP AT the Monmouth Mall, Rt. 35 Eatontown

Children came in Halloween costumes and walked  through the unopened Mall to different stations to receive treats and attend activities such as pumpkin painting. To raise awareness of ways to prevent child abuse and fundraiser for PCA-NJ. NJSFWC Members donated a car load of candy!

A 2-1/2 hour boat tour of the Toms River and Barnegat Bay while our captain tells us of the area history.  Enjoy a delightful luncheon while we sail on calm waters, rain or shine, on an enclosed climate controlled deck. Choice of Meal.

PCA-NJ ran its first online Facebook Auction on August 12-17.  NJSFWC collected the following new to excellent condition items (men's, women's, children's): Jewelry, Watches, Sunglasses, Purses, Handbags, Scarves , Wraps, Belts, Gloves & Mittens (no hats), Pocket Squares, Ties, Bowties, Suspenders, Cufflinks.
