Meetings: - the First and Third Mondays of the Month, except holidays, offers “hands on projects”, monthly programs featuring local events, support of local and NJSFWC projects.

Times:  Light Lunch at 11:30 a.m.  Meeting at 12:30 p.m.

Place:  The 140 year old clubhouse at 199 Jackson Street, Matawan, NJ 07747 which is owned by the club and maintained by rentals and fundraisers

4/19/2018 - Annual Afternoon Tea, Fashion Show and Tricky Tray Fundraiser

The club has a proud history:                                                      

  • Started the Public Health Association  
  • Founded the PTA
  • Secured a school nurse & attendance officer
  • Worked to establish the current library with a member as a librarian
  • Worked to establish Veterans Park 
  • Sponsored the YMCA
  • Provided members to serve in municipal and school board positions
  • Provided programs for nursing home and residential center
  • Planted trees   
  • Donated to Bayshore Hospital and provided child car seats
  • Assisted with Matawan’s Tri-centennia
  • Supported the Downtown Alliance

And still continues the tradition:

  • Food Drives for Pantries
  • Annual Wish Tree in Library
  • First Night kits, store cards, backpacks birthday bags for 180 Degrees Turning Lives Around
  • Arts, school supplies and snacks for Clinton Street “After School” program
  • Cookie/Candy project for Lunch Break
  • Stockings for Soldiers
  • Sponsor a High School student to Girls’ Career Institute
  • "Girl of the Year” Award to HS Senior
  • Support of many local charities
  • Maintains an historic clubhouse
